52ND PRESIDENTAL CYCLING TOUR OF TURKEY

Presidential cycling tour, where the worldʼs most prestigious road bike teams were invited, is recognized by the UCI World Tour as a part of its highest category. and one of the biggest sports event in Turkey Started as the “Marmara Tour” in 1963, the race reached international level only two years later, in 1965 and has made significant progress over the years. The tour was included within the sponsorship of Presidential Office in 1966. Presidential Cycling Tour, also has the distinction of being the only sports event of Turkey continued for more than half a century.

Since 2016, the organization has moved to a different phase by its promotional activities, media relations management and organization quality. As a result of this development, the Presidential Cycling Tour has earnt a worldwide reputation and has become one of the most prestigious tour organizations in the world.

The first tour that CEO Event has organized was kicked off in 2016, April 24th from İstanbul up to Selçuk district of İzmir, ended there on 1st of May. By the end of the eight-day-long race, 128 cyclists pedalled over 1,250 kilometers in Turkeyʼs Aegean, Mediterranean, and Central Anatolian regions. Two world tour teams, nine professional continental teams and one continental team participated the tour. The Turkish Cycling Tour was broadcasted live on national and international channels in more than 120 countries.
