9TH AMBASSADORS CONFERENCE

The ninth version of the conference, which has been held once a year since 2008 and hosted all ambassadors in charge at foreign representatitions and the central organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs all around the world, has been held in Ankara on January 8-14, this year.

Within the framework of the conference which its keynote has been set as ‘Towards 2023: National Values and Global Goals’, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with the former foreign ministers and undersecretaries and discussed the foreign policy agenda.

In addition to the main theme of the conference, the fight against terrorism was also discussed in the sessions.

Same as every year, this year’s conference had also foreign participants. The President of the European Council and  the Foreign Minister of Malta, George Vella, Foreign Minister of Georgia, Mikheil Janelidze, Foreign Minister of Tunisia, Hamis al-Jihinavi, Foreign Minister of Finland, Timo Soini and General Director of the International Organization for Migration, William Lacy Swing met with Turkish ambassadors.
